A thoughtful practice

I am a Seattle psychologist passionate about environmental issues. Different parts of the world are experiencing their own negative effects of climate change. Here on the West Coast, where the climate has become hotter and drier, our forests are burning, and besides loss of property, we are increasingly breathing toxic air from wildfire smoke. I decided to write a novel that personalizes experiences of climate change with a twist of the supernatural. At the University of Washington, I studied creative writing with novelist Dr. Charles Johnson. I received my Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Michigan State University and lived in New York for two years during my internship. I have deep roots in the Pacific Northwest and resettled in Seattle where I can enjoy the outdoors. In recent years after raising my family, I was excited to return to creative writing and produced Cosmic Canine. I am eager to publish Cosmic Canine and am planning a novel series.
